Beginning on the Louisa‑Des Moines County line at a point near the SW Corner Section 36‑T73N‑R2W, Louisa County, (NW Corner of Section 1‑T72N‑R2W, Des Moines County); thence north following substantially the section line through Sections 36 and 25‑T73N‑R2W to the south corporation line of Oakville connecting with Russell Street.

Oakville:

Beginning on Russell Street at the south corporation line; thence north on Russell Street to an unnamed street; thence northwest and west on unnamed street to the west corporation line.

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records, Iowa 99 in Louisa County should be deleted from the Primary Road System and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary Road System records.

Iowa 99 begins on the Louisa‑Des Moines County line approximately 1 ½ miles south of Oakville, Iowa and travels northerly and northwesterly via Oakville and Wapello, Iowa terminating at the junction of US 61 in Wapello, Iowa.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

Locate Iowa 99 and its extensions in Louisa County as follows:

Beginning on the Louisa‑Des Moines County line at a point near the SW Corner Section 36‑T73N‑R2W, Louisa County, (NW Corner of Section 1‑T72N‑R2W, Des Moines County); thence north following substantially the section line through Sections 36 and 25‑T73N‑R2W to the south corporation line of the City of Oakville, connecting with an unnamed street.

Oakville:

Beginning on the south corporation line, connecting with an unnamed street; thence northerly and westerly to the west corporation line connecting with an unnamed street.
